analoginis kompiuteris statusas T sritis informatika apibrėžtis ↑Kompiuteris, atliekantis skaičiavimus fizinio modeliavimo metodu. Skaičiai išreiškiami fizikiniais dydžiais, pavyzdžiui, elektros srove arba įtampa. Veiksmai atliekami su fizikiniais dydžiais ir jie atitinka operacijas su skaičiais vaizduojamais tais dydžiais. Pavyzdžiui, jei reikia sudėti du skaičius, tai sudedamos tuos skaičius atitinkančios elektros srovės. Analoginiam kompiuteriui galima natūraliai pateikti realiuoju laiku besikeičiančius duomenis. Įgalina paprastai ir sparčiai spręsti daugelį uždavinių su realiaisiais skaičiais, pavyzdžiui, diferencialines lygtis, nusakančias šiluminius, magnetinius ir kt. procesus.
